About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst who will provide analytical, strategic, and operational support to drive the successful implementation of the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy across the mine site. This role is critical in identifying opportunities for process enhancement, delivering data-driven insights, developing robust business cases, and ensuring measurable outcomes for CI initiatives.
The roster will be offered on a 5/2-4/3 and or 8/6 reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Core responsibilities
- Track and report on the progress of CI initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement related risk assessments and change management activities.
- Train site personnel in the use of CI tools and methodologies.
- Work with CI teams and stakeholders to develop detailed business cases for proposed projects, including scope, objectives, and justification.
- Perform cost analysis to identify opportunities for operational savings and efficiency improvements.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across site operations.
About you
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 3 years’ experience in business analysis or a similar role coupled with relevant qualifications such as a degree in business, finance and or metallurgy or mining engineering.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding as well as be proficient in financial analysis, cost modelling, processing mapping, workflow analysis and data visualization and reporting tools.
The role also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration is key, and the candidate should be adept at working within cross-functional teams within the company.
